Harthal in the North and east today

MP of the Northern provincial council, M.K Sivajilingam says that a hartal movement will be initiated today in the north and east provinces demanding lands be provided to Tamil people and to locate those reported missing.

When hiru news inquired into the matter, it was notified that Chief Minister of the northern province, C.V Vigneswaran, leader of the Tamil National Alliance, R. Sambanthan, Leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, Minister Rauf Hakeem, and  the leader of the All Ceylon people’s congress, Minister Rishad Bathiudeen will be supporting the Hartal movement.
