President advices irrigation officers to take decisions according to climatic changes

President has advised officers to take necessary decisions for the development of future irrigational projects following a thorough assessment looking into climatic change and rainfall over the past few years.

The decision was made during a meeting held  last evening with regard to the progress on irrigational projects implemented under  the Mahaweli development authority.

A detailed discussion was had with regard to current irrigation projects and projects which are to be implemented in future.
