Veteran Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna has passed away today.

He was at the age of 70.

Khanna was suffering from the cancer called advanced bladder carcinoma.

The actor, who was sitting Bharatiya Janata Party member of the Lok Sabha from the Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab was admitted to Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in Girgaon, Mumbai, recently.

Vinod Khanna had starred in more than 100 films in a career spanning over five decades. In the 1980s, at the peak of his career, he quit films to join Osho's ashram. At the time, Osho called himself Rajneesh.
