Huge strike campaign to be launched in early May by GMOA

The GMOA stated today that it will launch an island wide strike on a day between 3rd and 5th of May against the SAITM dispute.

Addressing a media conference held in Colombo today, Dr. Nalinda Herath of GMOA said that several trade unions have agreed to support the strike.

A list of trade unions that agreed to support GMOA strike was released to the media after the press briefing.

Accordingly, trade unions of doctors, nurses, transport, petroleum, ports, electricity, posts, customs and farmers have agreed to support the GMOA strike.
