9.58 million people battered by dry weather

Due to the dry weather prevailed in the country, 9.58million individuals who belong to 2.61million families have been battered.

Disaster Management Centre's latest data charts reveal individuals in Trincomalee, Ampara, Gampaha, Hambantota, Anuradhapura, Jaffna, Mullaitivu, killinochchi, Vvauniya, Mannar, kurunegala and Puttlam Districts have been battered by dry weather.

Moreover, most number of individuals have been affected in Northern province where the number stands as 4.50million.
