President calls proposals to further continue the Rakna Lanka Security firm

President Maithripala Sirisena has given directive to call for proposals to further continue the functions of the Rakna Lanka Security firm which has already been listed for liquidating.

The President has taken this move during the progress review meeting held at the Defence Ministry today.

The President called for proposals to further continue the functions of the Rakna Lanka security firm in order to secure welfare for the retired war heroes attached to the company.

At the same time, it was revealed that it was possible to declare open the new Army Headquarters next year which is currently being constructed at Akuregoda in Pelawatta.

The President’s Media Unit stated that the President drew his attention to the progress of the payment of compensation to those who were affected by the explosion at the Saalawa Army Camp.
