Discussions regarding reduction of protection provided to the Former President to be held at the Parliament

Speaker of the House, Karu Jayasooriya remarked at the Parliament today that the President and the Premier would direct their attention regarding reducing the protection provided to the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa by the Government.

He made this remark in response to a question forwarded by the JO leader, MP Dinesh Gunawardhane.

Leader of the House, Minister Lakshman Kiriella and the Chief Organizer of the Opposition, Anura Kumara Dissanayake also intervened.

Meanwhile, in line with the order issued by the Supreme Court, articles which are contrary to the Foreign Exchange Draft Bill would be removed.

He made this remark in response to a questioned forwarded by JO Parliamentarian Bandula Gunawardhane.
