First female radio presenter bids adieu

Sri Lanka's first female radio prsenter, Prabha Ranathunge has passed away.

She was a 91 year-old mother of three children.

With the establishment of SLBC in 1950, new recruitments took place.

Accordingly, Prabha Ranathunge has joined SLBC as the first female radio presenter in the history of Sri Lankan radio.

She could envelop the hearts of numerous listeners for years during her period.
