Illegal slaughterhouse raided

Police raided a slaughterhouse in Mirissankotuwa – Divulgahakumbura which was operating in violation of the conditions in its license.

The Walana – Panadura anti-corruption unit stated that 4 suspects were arrested during the raid.

Police headquarters noted that the raid was carried out on a tip off received.

Police have seized 456 kg of pork, 4 cows, a lorry and tools used to slaughter cattle during the raid.
