Teachers from Tamil Nadu for the estate sector

State Minister of Education V. Radakrishnan states that teachers will be brought from Tamil Nadu to fill the shortage that exists in the Ordinary level science and maths stream in the estate sector.

The state minister said that discussions with regard to the matter will be held with Indian Premier Narendra Modi, when he visits the island on the 11th of May.

However, teacher trade unions oppose this decision.
