Government doctors say today is decisive, Minister Kiriella requests doctors view face-book

The GMOA says that a number of decisions affecting the country are scheduled to be made at the central committee meeting to be held today.

GMOA media spokesman Dr. Samantha Ananda told our news team that lengthy discussions regarding the next doctors’ strike scheduled to be held in connection with the SAITM issue would take place and a final decision would be made today.

Participating at a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday GMOA assistant secretary Dr. Haritha Aluthgey elaborated on the subject as follows.

Meanwhile expressing his views to media after a meeting held in Kandy yesterday, minister of Higher Education and Highways Lakshman Kiriella said that it has been observed on face book that a large percentage of the population are opposed to the strikes.
