Update-Geetha+Kumarasinghe+files+an+appeal+at+the+Supreme+Court+over+abolishing+her+MP+post+
MP Geetha Kumarasinghe has filed an appeal at the Supreme Court, against Appeal Court's decision to annul her MP post based on dual citizenship.

Chief Secretary of the Parliament informed the Elections Commission that her MP post has been abolished.

Furthermore, he has requested the Chairman of the Elections Commission to replace Geetha Kumarasinghe's post with a suitable person.

Court of Appeal decided on last 3rd that Geetha Kumarasinghe is not eligible for the post of MP due to her dual citizenship.
