Hornet nets removed in Hatton prior to Modi’s visit

There is an operation to remove hornet nets from the neighbourhood where Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to tour in Hatton area.

It is stated that a large number of hornet nets have already been removed from the vicinity of Glankan Base hospital, Norwood sports ground, Hatton Dunbar Sports ground, Hatton CEDA sports ground and Kotagala CWC headquarters.

Police said steps were taken to remove hornet nets from the area in suspicion that the poisonous insects could provoke when helicopters are landing.
