Cabinet approval has been given to provide advice to prepare the legal drafting to amend the Judicial Organization Ordinance to increase the number of High Court Judges to 85 from 75.

There are only 75 High Court Judges in service in the Courts at the moment.

The government has drawn its attention to increase the number of High Court Judges to clear a large number of cases that have accumulated over the years.
