A dead body of a male has been found by the police in a house in Rathnarama area in Hokandara-Athurugiriya.

Police said that an elderly woman in that house has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital last night for treatments.

The deceased has been identified as a 68 year-old male, and the hospitalized woman is the 70 year-old wife of the man.

Police suspect that the death of the man has occurred two days before, and it has been reported that the deceased has been ill since sometime.
