Joint mission launched to investigate Dikkumbura murder case

A special police squad has been deployed to investigate regarding the shooting incident which took place in Dikkumbura junction in Imduwa in Galle, killing one individual.
Police said that the joint mission will be launched in collaboration with the Imaduwa and Elpitiya police stations.

Initial investigations have revealed that the murder has been plotted by a group related to the murder case of former Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman in Rathgama.

Moreover, in the right arm of the murdered, the image of former Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman, Manoj Mendis has been tattooed.

Police suspects that the chief suspect of Manoj mendis murder, Janith Madusanka de Silva alias Podi Lassy's team has committed the murder.

46 year old Demuni Sudath Priyantha was shot dead on last 6th while on his way to drop his children to classes in a three wheeler.
