Supreme Court issues a stay order against the annulment of Geetha’s MP post

The Supreme Court issued a stay order today over the Court of Appeal judgment that decided Geetha Kumarasinghe is not qualified to hold a parliament seat. 

The stay order was issued after considering the Appeal Court verdict which was challenged before the Supreme Court today.

A panel of three Supreme Court Judges including Justice Buwaneka Aluvihare, Justice Priyantha Jayawardana and Justice Anil Gunarathna issued the stay order over the Appeal Court judgment.
