Two in Rakwaana killed by a wild elephant attack

Two individuals were killed as a wild elephant attacked them in Rakwana- Rajawaththa.

Police stated that the attack took place at around 10 pm last night at a tea estate.

The deceased were a woman and man who were residents from the same area.

Their bodies have been placed at the Pothupitiya hospital.

Police stated that the same wild elephant had previously attacked area residents on several occasions.
