President summons heads of Independent Commissions

A discussion to review the progress of the independent Commissions will be chaired by President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat today.

It has been reported that all heads of Independent commissions established according to the 19thAmendment have been called for this discussion.

Ten commissions including Election, Police, Public Service,

Bribery and Corruption, Auditor Services and Human Rights have already been implemented.
