Court order issued to investigate the place of death of the youth in Rathupaswala shooting incident

CID received permission today to take statements from the three forensic officers who conducted the post mortems of the three individuals who were shot during a protest launched demanding for purified water.

The permission was granted when the CID made a request to the Gampaha Chief Magistrate D.A.Ruwanpathirana saying that it is needed to take statements from the three forensic officers.

Moreover, the forensic officer who conducted the post mortem of Ramli Ravishan Perera in Chilaw was ordered to investigate the place where the youth's death took place again.

The three army personnel who have been remanded for the crime have been re-remanded until the 31st this month.
