President opens a glass Chethiya in Miriswatta

The Chethiya made of glass in Gampaha-Miriswatta Sri Sudarshana Dharma Nikethana was opened to the public yesterday with the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.

Meanwhile, the President received blessings from the monks by participating in religious observances.

President Siridsena has presented gifts to the people who have helped in constructing the glass Chethiya, while the president was gifted by the Chief Prelate of the Dharma Nikethana, Master of Arts, Venerable Ketawala Hemaloka Thero.
