Civil Aviation Authority to investigate into the flight that made an emergency landing

The Civil Aviation Authority has commenced an investigation into the flight which made an emergency landing at Katunayake yesterday due to a technical fault.  

Speaking to our news team, the duty officer at the airport stated that airline representatives are also arriving in the island today to investigate into the matter.

Several passengers who were onboard the flight have already left Colombo on other flights.

The duty officer at the airport noted that measures have been taken to send the remaining 150 passengers to their destinations as well.  

The Qatar Airways plane was flying from Phuket to Doha with 208 passengers and 15 crew onboard, when it encountered a technical fault.
