Owner of the building that collapsed in Wellawatta remanded, Body of the missing woman found

The owner of the building that collapsed in Wellawatta was remanded until the 26th of this month when he was produced before Mount Lavinia Magistrate today.

Police arrested the owner of the building after he surrendered himself this morning.

Two persons died and 21 others sustained injuries following the building collapse on the 18th of this month.

The body of 60 year old Shanmugan Annalechchamee, who was a resident of Moratuwa and was missing following the collapse, was found this afternoon.
