Deputy Ministry portfolios to be changed within a week

President Maithripala Sirisena says that the Cabinet objective of the reshuffle was to move forward with fresh hopes for the country.

Following the swearing in ceremony, President Sirisena requested that the new ministers  lead with full commitment for the betterment of the country.

President Sirisena posted a twitter message citing that the new cabinet reshuffle would rejuvenate the development of the country.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was also present at the swearing in ceremony that was held at the Presidential Secretariat this morning.

Having been sworn in as State minister of Mahaweli Development and fisheries,

Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said the Cabinet reshuffle had taken place according to the needs of the country.

Minister of Post and Muslim Religious Affairs M.H.A. Haleem quoted the President as saying that the reshuffling of deputy ministers will take place in the next few weeks.
