Hiru correspondent in Matara assaulted while reporting the GMOA strike (video)

Hiru correspondent in Matara has been assaulted at the Matara General Hospital when reporting the token strike commenced by the GMOA today.

It has been reported that our correspondent has been assaulted by security guards in the hospital when he tried to report the strike.

The victim has made a complaint to the police regarding the case and it is reported that he is receiving treatments currently at the Matara General Hospital.

Moreover, hospitla procedures have been disrupted due to the token strike which has been commenced by the GMOA against four incidents including objecting the plan to imprison the Chairman of the GMOA, Doctor Anuruddha Padeniya.

The strike will be conducted until 8.00am tomorrow.
