Accident which took place when a baby elephant collided with a bus (photos)

A baby elephant aged about 8 years has collided with a private bus in Manampitiya area in Polonnaruwa Water-flow National Park and has been severely injured.

The baby elephant has collided with a private bus which was travelling from Dehiattakandiya to Colombo while he was crossing the road on the 20th morning.

After the accident, the baby elephant has been taken care by the onlookers and pedestrians as well.

Later, he has been stuffed into a lorry using tugs and a Backow and has been taken to the Wildlife office in Girithale.
