An incident has been reported to Hiru news where a school administration assistant was punished irrationally by the principal of the Anuradhapura- Adiranigama- Sri Parakum primary school.

Danushkaa Sandamali Herath who serves as an assistant administrative officer was made to stand in the hot sun and was not allowed to enter the office premises.

Previously, the woman claimed that the principal had inhumanely reprimanded her on the 26th of April.

Accordingly measures were taken by her during several instances to inform the zonal and provincial level education officials noting that the principal’s conduct made her extremely uncomfortable.

The provincial education officials had taken her account into consideration and had informed her to report back to work.

However, when she reported to work yesterday the principal had punished her by ordering her to stand in the hot sun as she had refused to adhere to the code of conduct given to her yesterday.

When the Hiru News team inquired into the matter from the principal, J.M Wijitha Jayasinghe, he noted that if he is in the wrong, the education officials could be informed on the matter.
