Update - Disaster death toll exceeds 200

The death toll resulting from the severe weather now stands at 202. 

Disaster Management Centre stated that 96 persons are reported missing.

629,742 people belonged to 163,701 families have been affected due to adverse weather, according to the latest calculations.

Death toll in Rathnapura has increased upto 84 currently.

Moreover, 62 have died due to adverse weather in Kaluthara.

Meanwhile, 77,432 people belonged to 19784  families are detained in safe places.

The death toll resulting from the severe weather now stands at 196.

Disaster Management Centre stated that 97 persons are reported missing.

The number of people affected by the adverse weather has exceeded 575 thousand.

The highest number of people affected by the inclement weather was reported from Matara district.
