The Disaster Management Center announced that the disaster death toll has risen to 203 today.

It also stated that another 96 persons are still missing following foods and earth slips.

629 thousand 704 persons are distressed due to the disaster situation.

Meanwhile, Irrigation Department stated that the waters of Kalu, Nilvala and Ging rivers are receding.

A couple and their son drowned today when their raft capsized in flood waters at Aththudawa, Matara.

Police said the three members of the family were on their way to participate in a funeral at Nagoda.

The victims have been identified as a 42 years old father, a 40 years old mother and their 14 years old son.

They were residents of Fortwatta, Nadugala West in Aththudawa.
