7th consignment of relief goods under GOLD FM Cares programme also heads to Matara; Medical camps for victims of disaster hit areas continues for 2nd day

Taking the Gold FM Cares relief programme which was launched for the benefit of disaster hit areas further, programmes are now in place to provide health services to those affected.

Accordingly in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society  GOLD FM CARES has set up  medical camps in the disaster-hit areas.

The programme is carried out as yet another yeoman service under GOLD FM Cares programme carried out by the Asia Broadcasting Corporation.

Accordingly Health Camps were organized at the church of Our Lady of Assumption in Pahala Hanwella as well as the  Bodhirajaramaya Temple in Yabbaluwa South in Biyagama, Gampaha today.

Similarly Gold FM and the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society will jointly conduct special medical camps for disaster-hit people in Kaluaggala – Akarawita Sri Upathissaramaya and Matara Maha Vidyalaya.

Also the Asia Broadcasting Corporation along with the Sri Lanka Red Cross have taken measures to travel to areas still flooded by boat and provide first aid.

Meanwhile, The 6th consignment of relief goods collected under Gold FM Cares initiative was distributed among the disaster affected people in the Matara district yesterday.

The Gold FM cares initiative launched by the Asia broadcasting corporation to support the people affected by the inclement weather, is receiving a great response from People Island wide.

Meanwhile, the 7th consignment of relief goods collected under Gold FM Cares initiative will be handed over to the District Secretariat in Matara today.

“Gold FM Cares” relief operation is determined to properly distribute assistance to the victims who are really affected by the disaster.
