The Chairman of the Commission probing the controversial Central Bank Bond scam ordered today to remove the CEO of the Perpetual Treasuries Limited as he remained inside the room without permission.

At the same time, audio recordings with regard to transactions carried out by Bank of Ceylon on behalf of Perpetual Treasuries Limited were also presented before the Commission.

Conversations between Perpetual Treasuries CEO Kasun Palisena and Bank of Ceylon Chairman were also played on the record.

Meanwhile, Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe issued an arrest warrant on former director of the National Blood Bank Mangalika Bindusara.

Arrest warrant was issued on Bindusara for not appearing before Court in connection with a Case filed by Bribery Commission.

Mangalika Bindusara has been accused of incurring a loss to the Government by importing expired blood plasma filters during her tenure as the director of the Blood Bank.

She has gone abroad after receiving court permission during a previous date.

The case will be taken up for hearing again on the 9th of August.

Meanwhile, the Traffic OIC attached to the Borella Police Station who was arrested for stealing gold jewellery was further remanded until June 16th.
