Unions express different opinions regarding the 6.28 % bus fare revision

The All Sri Lanka Private Bus association says that a 6.28 per cent bus fare revision is insufficient.

General secretary of the All Sri Lanka Private Bus association , Anjana Priyanjith said that bus Unions including his union were focusing their attentions on this decision taken without any discussion with bus Unions.

The cabinet yesterday approved the 6.28 per cent bus fare increase from July 01st.

However, the General Secretary Anjana Priyanjith said that future lines of action would be decided upon after discussions with other bus Companies have been carried out .

Meanwhile the chairman of the Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Union  Gemunu Wijeratne, said that his union agrees with the decision for the 6.28 per cent increase in  bus fare.
