School children who study in lower grades than Grade five have been prohibited to enter the public gallery in the parliament, during sessions.

It has been reported that this decision has been taken in order to avoid disruption during parliamentary sessions and due to small children not being aware of the activities conducted in the parliament.

However, General Secretary's office in parliament announces that the students who study in lower grades than Grade five are allowed to enter into the gallery when the parliamentary sessions are not held.
