Minister of Justice and Buddhist affairs Wijeyadasa Rajapaksa says that neither the Government nor anyone connected to the Government will be allowed to interfere with the administration of Buddhist Temples and places of worship.

The Minister made the statement at a function at Mahiyanganaya Raja mahaa Temple yesterday.

Issuing a communiqué, the Kotte Sri Kalyaani Saamagri Dharma Mahaa Sangha Council said that it severely condemned the line of action that extremist organizations and certain political leaders adopted with regard to Buddhism.

The Sangha Council, on tuesday, handed a set of theoretical proposals to the president at the presidential secretariat.
