Convener of the IUSF Lahiru Weerasekera and four of its other members have been further remanded until July 19th.

The suspects have been in remand for forcibly entering the Health Ministry and allegedly damaging public property.

Lawyers appeared for the suspects requested bail for their client when the suspects were produced before the Maligakanda Additional Magistrate.

However, Additional Magistrate Dulani Weeratunga refused bail.

At the same time, the Supreme Court put off a petition filed by the Sri Lanka Medical Council to be considered tomorrow.

The petition has challenged a judgment passed by the court of appeal.

Meanwhile, parents association of Medical Faculty Activists withdrew the Sathyagraha campaign against Malabe Private Medical School which was launched in front of Fort Railway Station.

In addition, IUSF held a protest march in Nugegoda creating heavy traffic jams in the surroundings.

The protest march reached the Ananda Samarakoon Open theatre in Nugegoda to hold a rally.

Meanwhile, SAITM students held a bodi pooja at the Bellanwila ancient temple to invoke blessings to their institute.
