Many Hospital face a crisis situation due to dengue; 3 patients on one bed in Negambo hospital

Due to the increased number of dengue patients, Hospitals Island wide is congested with patients.

It was reported that in the Negambo Hospital there are 3 patients on one bed.

Meanwhile, Ministry of health has decided to commence an investigation on private hospitals and laboratories violating the instructions given by the Ministry of Health to reduce the charges for blood tests until the end of the dengue epidemic.

The Health Minister recently informed private hospitals that charges for a full blood test should be 250 rupees and the dengue blood count should be 1,000 rupees.
