Lawyers representing Minister of Foreign affairs,  Ravi Karunanayake,  who previously held the office of Finance Minister at the time of the controversial Central Bank bond issue, have informed the commission that he will testify on August 2nd.

The Commission issued notice yesterday ordering him to appear before Commission today as he failed to do so on the previous day.

The lawyer appearing on behalf  Minister Karunanayake told the Commission that his client is required to participate in a Security Council meeting today therefore requested the date to be rescheduled.

However journalists questioned the Foreign Minister at the conclusion of a program that was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this morning.
