A tense situation erupted in parliament today as ruling and Opposition MPs expressed their views over the Petroleum strike.

Later, the speaker was compelled to temporarily adjourn parliament sessions.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe expressed his views about the strike followed by JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Joint Opposition MPs Dinesh Gunawardana and Namal Rajapaksa.

Meanwhile, the Nation Building Levy Amendment Bill was also passed with amendments in parliament today.
