The Petroleum Corporation stated that distribution of oil is smoothly carried out by Kolonnawa and Muturajawela terminals.

Corporation managing Director Sanjeeva Wijerathna said 487 bowsers of oil have already left the two terminals today.

However, our provincial correspondents stated that outstations are affected by the fuel shortage.

Meanwhile, addressing a media conference held in Colombo today, Secretary of Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya branch of the Petroleum Corporation Ananda Palitha said 17 members of his trade union engaged in distribution operation despite the strike yesterday.

Meanwhile, All Ceylon Port Workers Union states that their scheduled strike tomorrow has been temporarily suspended following discussions with the President.
