The Presidential Commission probing the Central Bank Bond scam issued an order today prohibiting deleting or altering data on the mobile phone belonging to Arjun Aloysius.

The Commission warned Aloysius by issuing this decree that the violation of the order could lead to pass a jail term.

President Counsel Yasantha Kodagoda informed the Commission that the attempts have been made to enter the data on the Apple phone belonging to Arjun Aloysius.

He said the mobile phones of the daughter of Arjuna Mahendran and, wife of Arjun Aloysius Anjali Mahendran have been used for the purpose.

The Attorney General’s Office requested the Commission to issue a degree preventing such actions in the furture as those attempts were targeted to delete data on Arjun Aloysius phone.

Accordingly, the Commission issued the decree today which states although the Commission has no legal teeth to prohibit somebody from entering to a phone data base of another individual, this decree is issued as the Apple phone of Arjun Aloysius is currently in the Commission’s custody.

The decree also explained that anybody who attempts with an intention to conceal or destroy details required for investigations could be liable to receive a jail term under the Penal Code.

At the same time, CEO of Perpetual Treasuries, Kasun Palisena was ordered to handover his mobile digital devices to Commission.

At this juncture, his lawyer President’s Counsel Kalinga Indratissa objected the order saying that the legal advice given to Palisena is saved on his laptop.

Considering the situation, the Commission advised to remove such files from his laptop, provide an affidavit to that effect and handover his devices to the Commission.
