Speed of wind rise up – Navy men fishermen to stay cautious

Met Department announces that the sea around the island may become rough due to the wind speed of the sea rising up around the island.

Issuing a communique, the Department states that the wind speed of the seas from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle will rise up to 60-70kmph.

Accordingly, navy men and fishermen are advised to stay cautious regarding the weather condition.

Meanwhile, slightly heavy showers about 50mm may be expected in Ratnapura, Kegalle, Kandy, Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts.
