United National Party general secretary minister Kabir Hashim says that the party’s Central Working Committee did not take a final decision on minister Dr. Wijedasa Rajapaksha at their meeting held at Sirikotha today.

But he said several crucial decisions will be taken at their next meeting to be held on Monday.

Minister Kabir Hashim disclosed this speaking to the media after the conclusion of the UNP Central Working Committee meeting.

The meeting started at 9.30am under the patronage of prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Then the back-benchers of the UNP had submitted a resolution saying that minister Wijedasa Rajapaksha cannot be trusted.

The resolution was passed unanimously.

Meanwhile, deputy minister of national policies and economic affairs, Dr. Harsha de Silva said the entire UNP working and parliamentary groups fiercely criticized minister Wijedasa Rajapaksha for his recent statements at the meeting.

The deputy minister said in a message appeared in his twitter account that UNP group criticized the minister for about two hours.

But the minister has said that he did nothing wrong.

Minister Wijedasa has told the gathering that he can do nothing to speed up legal action against corruption.

According to the deputy minister no one had accepted the explanation.

Minister Wijedasa has also said that he had never said that he would not look back until he cancels the 'Hambantota Port Deal'.
