A 15-year-old girl from Anuradhapura who was missing for almost two weeks, has been found from a house in Kalutara South.

Police said she was reported missing after she left home to attend a tuition class.

The officials of the Anuradhapura Police's Children and Women's Bureau found the girl.

The mother of the girl lodged a complaint with the police and later police obtained phone details to identify the whereabouts of the missing girl.

However, police investigations revealed that the mother of the girl had not revealed to the police about a letter written by the girl.

It was found that she was living with her boyfriend, a 26-year-old, at his house, when the police found her.

The girl, her fiancé, suspect’s mother and sister were arrested by police and then produced before courts.

The mother and her son were remanded until this Friday (25) and the suspect's sister was released on a personal surety of 100,000 rupees.

Meanwhile, the school girl who had been sexually abused by the suspect was ordered to be sent to Children and Women Center in Saliyapura.
