Court acquits State Minister Range Bandara

Colombo High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunga today (25) acquitted State Minister Range Bandara, from a case over his alleged links to aiding and abetting to present a vehicle registration permit for an illegally assembled vehicle.

Earlier, Colombo High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunga fixed the trial for today.

The case was filed by Attorney General’s Department.

When the case was taken up, the person who had bought the vehicle had informed the court that State Minister gave him all the relevant documents related to the vehicle in question.

Thereafter, Deputy Solicitor General who was present at the courts on behalf of the AG, withdrew the case.
