Attorney General's Department today (25) questioned as to how details related to four audio recordings is missing from Perpetual Treasuries' transaction room.

This was asked from PTL's CEO Kasun Palisena, when the Presidential Commission of Inquiry on bond issue, commenced its proceedings after a week.

Earlier, the PTL had informed the commission that the details of incoming and outgoing calls as well as the durations are not getting recorded in their system.

However, the AG's Department requested the Commission to postpone the sittings for a week to study audio recordings of 240,000 telephone calls.

They questioned Palisena based on the findings of the study.

When he was questioned about the missing audio recordings, he said he does not know about it.

He also stressed that he did not revise any data and promised to find out what has happened and inform the commission about it.

The AG's Department officials disclosed that although PLT said that telephone data are not getting recorded, the company that fixed the system had told them that data are getting recorded in the system.

Then the Commission directed the PTL to provide details of existing data, if not the system providers will be given the password and user name to obtain the details.
