President Maithripala Sirisena has informed the Committee appointed to look into the future course of action on SAITM to submit their report within 10 days.

The Committee headed by Deputy Minister Dr. Harsha De Silva also includes Attorney General Jayantha Jayasuriya, Health Ministry Secretary Janaka Sugathadasa, Secretary to the Ministry of Higher Education D. C. Dissanayake and Chairman of the University Grants Commission Professor Mohan De Silva.

Meanwhile, the Movement against SAITM is continuing their protest in front of the Fort Railway station.

Another protest was held in front of the Ruhuna University yesterday (01) against the arrest of the Secretary of the University’s Students’ Union, Tharaka Sandaruwan.
