Minister Fonseka’s statements draw criticism

The Joint Opposition says that the statement made by the Minister, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka on former Army Commander Jagath Jayasuriya is a betrayal of the country.

MP Prasanna Ranatunga stated this at a media conference held in Colombo today (05).

Meanwhile, the UPFA General Secretary, Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said that they hope to speak to Minister Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka over statements he made regarding former Army Commander Jayasuriya.

The Minister expressed these views after an event in Sooriyawewa today.
