Due to the strike, the hospitals in Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mannar, Mullaithiuv, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Polonnaruwa, Nuwara Eliya and Hambantota districts were affected.

The strike action will be launched in the districts of Vavuniya, Matale, Ampara, Badulla, Moneragala and Matara tomorrow (13).

Meanwhile, addressing the media today, the GMOA said a vehicle parade of 5000 vehicles will enter the city of Colombo on Friday.
