The gazette notification for the operationalization of the Office of Missing Persons, which was signed by the President has been published.

President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (12) signed the gazette notification for the operationalization of the Office of Missing Persons.

The Government Printer Gangani Liyanage said that the gazette notification signed by the President was sent to the press yesterday.

Accordingly, the Office of Missing Persons will be effective from Friday.

Relatives of missing persons, or any person or institution could lodge complaints with this office.
