In a surgery conducted at the Sirimavo Bandaranayake Specialized Childrens' Hospital in Peradeniya a piece of bullet was removed from a head of a 3-year-old child.

The child who was a resident of Kegalle while playing with an air-rifle, which is used to chase away monkeys had accidently pulled the trigger.

Then the bullet had entered his head. The hospital sources said now the child is kept at the ICU, after the surgery.
